DO’S – Smart Handling for Perfect Bales

  • Store Twine in Shade & Dry Area
    Avoid direct sun, heat, or rain- They weaken synthetic fibers.
  • Match Twine with Baler Type
    Round or square? Small or large? Choose twine with the correct knot strength & length.
  • Inspect Your Baler Regularly
    Check twine tensioners, knotters and feed mechanisms. A clean, lubricated baler means fewer problems in the field.
  • Clean Baler Paths Before Loading Twine
    Debris causes friction, fraying, and misfeeds.
  • Keep Track of Used Rolls
    Label partial rolls with size, strength, and date to avoid confusion during busy seasons.




    • DON’TS – Avoid These Mistakes

  • Don’t Mix Twine Types
    Using jute and poly in the same baler can cause jamming and inconsistent bales.
  • Don’t Ignore the Knotter Mechanism
    If your baler isn’t tying properly, it may not be the twine – it could be worn knotter hooks or twine discs.
  • Don’t Use Wet or Dirty Twine
    Moisture = weak bales. Dirt = poor feeding.
  • Don’t Use Blunt Cutters
    Frayed edges cause improper knotting. Always use a sharp tool for clean cuts.
  • Don’t Force-Feed Twine
    If the twine doesn’t go through smoothly, stop and check forcing it could snap it mid process.
